A Little Bit About Me

Hi! My name is Davon Izaguirre! I am excited to say I am your child's 4th grade teacher! This is my 5th year teaching at Southwest Elementary and I am extremely excited to get the 2017-2018 year started!

In May of 2012, I graduated from Southwestern State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma. I completed my student teaching in the Fall of 2012 here at Southwest in a 4th grade class. So it makes me very excited to continue my teaching journey at a school I already enjoyed working at. I have teaching certifications in Elemenatary Education, as well as Early Childhood Education.

I have lived in Clinton all my life, and have always attended Clinton Public Schools. I have always wanted the opportunity to teach in the very school district that inspired me to become a teacher! So I feel that teaching your child is sincerely a dream come true of mine!!! I have two older sisters who also work for CPS, one works at Nance Elemenatary and the other is also a 4th grade teacher at Southwest. My family and I are very close and mean the world to me. I have two sweet "fur-babies" that I adore one is a Snchauzer named Sirius and the other is a Chorkie (Chihuahua-Yorkie mix) named LuLu.

A few things I would like you to know about our class is that I will hold each student to very high standards and expectations.  The rules will be enforced to ensure that the class runs effectively and smoothly to provide the best learning environment possible!!

As I said before, I am excited to be teaching your child this year.  I look forward to helping them become successful in the classroom as they work their way toward 5th grade.  If you ever have any questions you can write me a note in your child's daily planner, e-mail  me at ,or call me at (580)-323-1290.

I want to 'Thank You' in advance for all your cooperation and help in your child's education this year!!!
