We've included some amazing back-to-school events with free school supplies, backpacks, haircuts, resources, and fun for your family. 📚✏️✂️💈
➡️ Cheyenne & Arapaho Tribes—Family Wellness Week—July 30-August 2. Sports physicals, screenings, immunizations, and family activities are included in this event.
➡️ Clinton Ministerial Alliance Backpack Giveaway—Wednesday, July 31 at 6:00pm at McLain Rogers Park. The event will include free hot dogs, inflatables, games, music, and snow cones.
➡️ River Valley Skilled Nursing & Therapy Camp Eden—Monday, July 29-Thursday, August 1 from 9:00am-1:00pm. The camp is for children ages 4-10. Morning snacks and lunch are provided.
➡️ The Edge Church, Clinton, OK—Free haircuts Monday, August 5 from 2:00-6:00pm. Snacks and movies will be available while students wait for their haircut. This event is for students in the western Oklahoma community. If you or someone you know is a licensed barber or cosmetologist and would like to participate, please reach out to the church for more information.
➡️ Unity in the Community—August 10 from 10:00am-1:00pm. This back-to-school celebration at Joe Baker Park will provide free school supplies and family-friendly activities.

To receive the sports physicals and other IHS services, children must have an IHS chart. To set up a chart with IHS, families need copies of their CDIB and proof of residence. This is open to all community members and any enrolled members of a federally recognized tribe.

🍎 In-person enrollment will be Wednesday, July 17 from 9:00am-2:00pm and Thursday, July 18 from 2:00-7:00pm at Clinton Middle School, located at 1001 Orient Ave.

HB 1542, authored by State Rep Anthony Moore and passed in November, allows restaurants and public school district cafeterias to donate food without fear of being held liable. The bill was written to help combat the high food insecurity rates facing Oklahomans.
CPS partnered with the Clinton Mission House and has been donating unused or perishable foods since November. The donations typically include milk, fruits, and vegetables. 🥛🥗🍎🥕

CHS Jazz Band members recently participated in the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Department of Music Jazz Band camp. 🎶
Students had the opportunity to participate in jazz electives, learn fundamentals, and have performance opportunities taught by top jazz directors from around the state and SWOSU Jazz ensemble members. 🎺🥁
