My name is Aide' Flores. I am a 2nd grade teacher at Southwest Elementary. My family migrated from Mexico to the Clinton when I was 3 years old therefore, I attended Clinton Public Schools K-12th grades. After graduating from CHS, I was hired by our district as an assistant for the Bilingual Education program and for the Migrant Education program. It was then that my Bilingual Director (Dr. Fay Nowka) encouraged me to pursue my education. With her help and with the support of my loving family I was able to graduate from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1998 with a Bachlors in Science in Elementary Education. I'm proud to say that this will be my 19th year teaching in the Clinton Schools District with experience in 2nd, 3rd,and 4th grades. I have no doubt that this is my calling.
God has blessed me with 3 wonderful men; my husband Chicho, and my 2 sons, Sammy & Danny. Currently, Chicho works for Cactus Drilling. Sammy is a UCO graduate, and is working for Crawford Family Funeral Home and Cremation services in Edmond as a Funeral Director/Embalmer. Danny is a UCO graduate, and is working for Kile Hill Kia in Edmond as a Client Advisor. Danny has been married to Kaitlyn for 1 year. She is currently a full time student at UCO.
I look forward to this new school year, and I hope that it be one of the best!
