2nd Grade Teacher
I graduated from Altus High School in 2008 and attended Western Oklahoma State College from 2008-2011 gradutating with a liberal arts degree. I moved to Weatherford in June of 2011 and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State Universty from 2011-2013 graduating with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with prospects of obtaining my master’s degree in Educational Administration and becoming certified in other subject areas.
I have an assoicates degree in Liberal Arts from WOSC in Altus OK and my bachlor's degeree in Elementary Education from SWOSU in Weatherford OK. I have my Early Childhood Certification and Elementary Certification.
This will be my third year teaching at SES (Southwest Elementary School) and my third year with CPS (Clinton Public Schools). In January 2014 I was hired at a teacher's aide, but was reassigned to long-term sub for the remainder of the school year. I am looking forward to teaching second grade this year and cannot wait to see what this year has in store for our students.
Prior to my teaching experience, I held a number of retail and child care positions in Altus, Clinton, and Weatherford areas. I am honored that Clinton is my first full time teaching experience.
I am the oldest of three children and the daughter of a Baptist minister and a local music teacher. I was raised in Altus Oklahoma and I was heavily invovled in the select choir, band, and flag corps/color guard programs and our church's youth group in high school and college. On March 12, 2016 I married my best friend and co-pilot Andrew Devoss! We currently have no human children, but have three wonderful fur babies: Simba, Nami, and Marty that keep us busy and well loved!
When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my husband and our families and friends (espically when there is food invovled), reading, baking, watching Texas Ranger baseball and Oklahoma City Thunder basketball and exercising.
